Small businesses’ access to high-speed internet has improved dramatically over time. In 2014, only 48.1 percent of small business establishments had broadband internet speeds through a terrestrial provider. This number increased to 83.9 percent by 2024.  

Advocacy’s newest issue brief uses the latest available data to highlight the trends, technologies, costs, and barriers for small businesses to expand broadband internet use in their daily operations.
