Trent Staggs

Trent Staggs is a proven leader in both public service and business. After four years on the city council, Trent served as the mayor of Riverton, Utah. He has taken a business-minded approach to municipal government, which has delivered exceptional results that include cutting property taxes, reducing fees, and saving residents tens of millions of dollars. He was also a candidate for U.S. Senate in 2024. Beyond his public sector experience, Staggs has demonstrated executive leadership necessary to successfully manage organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small- and medium-sized enterprises, across the finance, technology, and energy sectors. He recently served on the board of an energy company he helped take public, securing the company with a listing on NASDAQ in 2022. With his passion for business, government, and identifying better ways of doing things, Staggs is uniquely positioned as a Regional Advocate for small business. Trent received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. He and his wife, Alisha, are the proud parents of two children.
