Advocacy Invites Small Businesses to Attend Louisiana Roundtables

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration invites Louisiana and surrounding small business owners and affiliates from various industries to attend and participate in a series of roundtable events this week. The first event will be held in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, June 7th and the second event will be held in New Orleans on Thursday, June 8th. The purpose of these events is to gain valuable insight into which specific federal regulatory burdens present the biggest barriers to small business growth. With these recommendations, Advocacy can better assist federal agencies in complying with President Trump’s directives to reduce burdensome regulations.
“As a member of the Senate Small Business Committee, I know how important small businesses are to the economy. Louisiana’s over 400,000 small businesses are the backbone of our economy and employ 53% of the state’s workforce. However, our small businesses face too many obstacles due to burdensome governmental regulations,” said U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-La). “I am happy to welcome to Louisiana the federal government’s small business watchdog, the Office of Advocacy, to work on reducing the regulatory burdens on small businesses. I encourage all Louisiana small business owners to take advantage of this unique opportunity to provide firsthand testimony of the impact federal regulations are having on their businesses.”
