On September 26, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council (WHEJAC) will hold a meeting on October 9, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET in Huntsville, Alabama. The meeting may also be attended virtually.
There will be a portion of the meeting devoted to public comments. The WHEJAC is asking for input on the following topics:
- EJ.gov (or EnvironmentalJustice.gov)
- The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Environmental Justice Science, Data, and Research Plan
- Place-Based and Community-Focused Initiatives
- The Environmental Justice Scorecard
- The Justice40 Initiative
To attend the meeting, registration must be completed by October 9, 2024. However, those wishing to speak during the public comment period must register by October 4, 2024. WHEJAC will also accept written public comments on the meeting through October 23, 2024.
