Small Business Roundtable – February 16, 2024
The Office of Advocacy will hold a virtual roundtable to discuss the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Proposed Apprenticeship rule. DOL proposes updates to key areas of apprenticeship that would add paperwork requirements and adopt a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Apprenticeship program.
This event will be held virtually on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 1 PM – 3 PM ET on the Microsoft Teams platform.

After the briefing, the agency will listen to small business concerns. Comments expressed during this roundtable do not take the place of submitting written comments to the regulatory docket. Written comments on this rule are due to DOL on March 18, 2024.
II. Input from Interested Small Entities (1:30 PM – 3:00 PM)
SBA Advocacy is an independent government office responsible for advancing the views of small businesses in the regulatory policy across the federal government. We conduct roundtables to hear the experiences, challenges, and recommendations of small businesses, and identify alternative approaches for policy development at federal regulatory agencies. Our roundtables are largely held online, to facilitate the attendance of stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, industries, and geographic regions.
Roundtable meetings are open to all interested persons and are intended to facilitate an open and frank discussion about issues of interest to small businesses. These meetings are off the record and not intended for press purposes.
