On March 19, 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (DOE) announced a request for information and data on whether to amend the test procedures for automatic commercial icemakers. The agency is seeking specific comments on opportunities where it can streamline and simplify testing requirements, and any other issues relevant to the process for determining energy efficiency standards in these products. Written comments are due by April 18, 2019.
