Advocacy Requests Extension of Comment Period for CFPB’s Personal Data Rights NPRM

The Office of Advocacy submitted a letter to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau requesting an extension of the comment period for the proposed rule on Personal Financial Data Rights. The proposed rulemaking would implement section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The request would provide crucial consideration to the challenges that small entities face and ensure that small entities have adequate time to provide comments with their limited resources and competing commitments.
