On June 5, 2023, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) published a notice extending the comment period on an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) related to alcohol trade practices. The agency is considering revisions to its trade practice regulations related to the Federal Alcohol Administration Act’s exclusive outlet, tied house, commercial bribery, and consignment sales prohibitions.
TTB states that it is extending the comment period for an additional 30 days in response to a request submitted by multiple stakeholder organizations. The agency had previously extended the ANPRM comment period until June 7, 2023. Written comments are now due by July 7, 2023.
