DOI Seeks Comments on Proposed Rule to List Arizona Eryngo as an Endangered Species and Establish Critical Habitat Designation

On March 4, 2021, the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) published a proposed rule to list the Arizona Eryngo as an endangered species and designate areas for critical habitat. The agency is proposing to list 13 acres in Pima and Cochise Counties, Arizona, as critical habitat. FWS also published a draft economic analysis in which it states that there will not be a direct economic impact on small entities.  Written comments on the proposed rule are due by May 3, 2021.
