USDA Seeks Comments on Updates to the List of Bioengineered Foods Subject to Disclosure

On July 24, 2020 the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) published a request for comments on recommendations to update the list of bioengineered (BE) foods subject to BE disclosure standards. AMS proposes to add certain types of sugarcane, cowpea, rice and other products to the list as well as amend certain products already listed. Written comments are due by August 24, 2020.
