Advocacy’s Acting Chief Counsel Recognized by the World Bank Group

By Emily Williams, Outreach and Event Manager

The World Bank Group has recognized Acting Chief Counsel for Advocacy Major L. Clark for his work on regulatory reform and his contributions to Doing Business 2020, and has awarded him a certificate of appreciation.

Doing Business 2020, a World Bank Group publication, is the 17th in a series of annual studies measuring the regulations that enhance business activity and those that constrain it. Doing Business presents quantitative indicators on business regulations and the protection of property rights that can be compared across 190 economies.

Advocacy’s mission aligns with the nature of the World Bank Group’s publication on regulatory reform. One of Advocacy’s roles is to inform agencies about the regulations of greatest concern to small business. By doing this, Advocacy helps reduce the regulatory burden on small businesses in the United States helping the U.S. become one of the top 10 countries for ease of doing business out of 190 surveyed for the report.

Congratulations Major on your accomplishment!
