Region 4 Advocate Montez Diamond, along with attorneys from the Office of Advocacy, will be in Atlanta, Georgia on August 14th to collect comments and concerns from small businesses and stakeholders regarding proposed regulations and other potential federal actions that may impact small business. This event will be in-person and is open to the public.
Advocacy attorneys work with federal regulators to ensure small business concerns are heard in the regulatory process. Some key areas of discussion will include:
- the BEAD and Digital Equity Act.
- the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Overtime Rule.
- the Independent Contractor Final Rule.
- OSHA’s Proposed Emergency Response Rule.
- USPTO Impact of AI on Intellectual Property.
