Fish and Wildlife Service Releases 2024-2025 Proposed Migratory Bird Hunting Regulations
On May 13, 2024, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service published its annual proposed framework for states to select season dates, limits, and other options for the 2024–25 migratory game bird hunting season.
The annual framework is necessary to allow state selections of seasons and limits and to allow harvest at levels compatible with migratory game bird population status and habitat conditions. Specifically, the proposal provides the regulatory alternatives for the 2024–25 duck hunting season and provides proposed frameworks for the 2024–25 migratory bird hunting season.
Comments on the proposed rule are due June 12, 2024.
