August 23, 2023 Testimony: One Size Does Not Fit All: Understanding the Importance of Rightsizing Regulations for Small Businesses

On August 23, 2023, Deputy Chief Counsel Major Clark testified before the Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee in a field hearing in Des Moines, Iowa. The hearing topic was “One Size Does Not Fit All: Understanding the Importance of Rightsizing Regulations for Small Businesses.” The topline goals of the hearing were to learn from Iowa small businesses and leaders, as well as the federal agency tasked with overseeing the Regulatory Flexibility Act, about how “one size fits all” regulations affect economic development and how the SBA Office of Advocacy can better advocate on behalf of small businesses.
