Request for Comments on DOE’s Proposed Rule on Modifications to Test-Procedure Wavier Process

On May 1, 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (DOE) published a proposed rule to streamline the decision-making process for granting test procedure waivers.

The rule as proposed would require the Department to notify, in writing, an applicant of the disposition within 30 business days of receipt of the application. If the agency fails to do so, the interim waiver would be deemed granted. The agency is requesting comments on these and other proposed modifications.

Written comments are due by July 1, 2019.
