On November 30, 2018, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a notice to announce the peer review of its previously published draft risk evaluation for an existing chemical substance, Colour Index Pigment Violet 29 (PV29), under the Toxic Substance Control Act. EPA will be holding a two-hour virtual preparatory meeting to consider the scope and clarity of the draft charge questions for the peer reviewers on January 8, 2019. Next, EPA will host a 4-day in-person meeting starting on January 29, 2019 through February 1, 2019. The public will have an opportunity to submit oral comments for the preparatory meeting by January 4, 2019. For the in-person meetings, requests to provide oral comments will be accepted until January 19 and possibly during the meetings.
