Advocacy to Host Regulatory Roundtable in Overland Park, Kansas

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, September 14th, the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration will host a roundtable in Overland Park, Kansas at the Marriott Kansas City Overland Park – 10800 Metcalf Avenue. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m. CDT.
The purpose of this event is to gain valuable insight into which specific federal regulatory burdens present the biggest barriers to small business growth. With these recommendations, Advocacy can better assist federal agencies in complying with President Trump’s directives to reduce burdensome regulations. Additionally, information compiled from this roundtable and others will help Advocacy generate a new report informing Congress and the public of the top regulatory issues for small businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy – and in Kansas, small businesses employ over 600,000 people, which accounts for 51.3 percent of Kansas employees,” said Congressman Kevin Yoder. “As small businesses provide over half of all jobs in the state, I’m looking forward to having the Office of Advocacy host a roundtable event in Overland Park to discuss regulatory reform to help those businesses grow and create jobs. I encourage small businesses around the Third District to attend.”
