The Office of Advocacy monitors and responds to Executive Orders (EOs) that affect America’s small businesses. Executive Orders are official directives from the President that influence how federal agencies implement policy. The orders listed below shape the regulatory environment for small businesses and often direct agencies to reduce barriers, streamline processes, or evaluate economic impact.

Regulatory Planning and Review
Establishes principles for federal regulatory review, including cost-benefit analysis and coordination with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Executive Order 13272 (2002) »
Proper Consideration of Small Entities in Agency Rulemaking
Directs federal agencies to consider the impact of their regulations on small entities and to work with the Office of Advocacy in the development of rules.

Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs
