Assistant Chief Counsel

Position Summary: The Assistant Chief Counsel reviews and analyzes existing and proposed laws, regulations, policies, and federal activities that affect small entities. The Chief Counsel for Advocacy monitors these impacts and makes policy recommendations to federal policymakers on behalf of small entities.
The Assistant Chief Counsel works in the Office of Interagency Affairs, with a team of attorneys dedicated to ensuring that federal policies do not disproportionally harm small entities.
Economic Research Fellow

Position Summary: The Economic Research Fellow works in Advocacy’s Office of Economic Research producing small business research, analysis, and statistics for policymakers and stakeholders.
As the only federal office with this unique mandate, the Office of Advocacy’s research products and analyses are used by policymakers, small business stakeholders, news organizations, and trade associations to understand the importance of small businesses and the challenges they face.

Senior Writer/Editor

Position Summary: The Senior Writer/Editor is part of the office’s public information team, which works alongside Advocacy’s legal, economic research, and administrative staff.
The Writer/Editor produces print and electronic publications with high standards of accuracy and consistency. These principally include economic and legal reports on small business issues. The Writer/Editor will also assist in web publishing.
