As an independent voice, we are able to:

1978
First regional advocacy events launched to gather small business feedback.
1980
Advocacy ensures small business consideration in Regulatory Flexibility Act.
1986
Small business innovation research (SBIR) program receives expanded support.
1996
Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act signed, strengthening small business protections.
2002
Launch of annual State Profiles providing data for small business policymaking.
2008
Advocacy fights for small business relief during the financial crisis.
2012
Launch of Regional Regulatory Roundtables to engage with small businesses directly.
2017
Office releases updated “Small Business GDP” report, influencing economic policy.
2020
Supports COVID-19 small business programs including PPP and EIDL expansions.
2023
Supports initiatives for small businesses in the space, green, and tech sectors.
2026
