Advocacy Helps Small Businesses Seek Relief from Federal Regulations

An initiative by the SBA Office of Advocacy is bringing small businesses’ concerns with federal regulations back to the rule makers in federal agencies. Through its Regional Regulatory Reform Roundtable initiative, the office gathers small business input from around the country, identifies small businesses’ regulatory compliance issues, and conveys these priorities for deregulation to federal rule makers.

A new report outlines the initiative, top small business regulatory issues, and progress that has been made so far. What Small Businesses Are Saying and What Advocacy Is Doing About It: Progress Report on the Office of Advocacy’s Regional Regulatory Reform Roundtables is available on Advocacy’s Regulatory Reform webpage.
