The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Chairman Carr announced an order titled In Re: Delete, Delete, Delete. The Chairman is requesting comments from the public to assist the agency in reviewing all of its rules to identify duplicative and outdated policy from the FCC. Advocacy made the following recommendations:
Advocacy submitted a list of 47 additional rules that small businesses brought to Advocacy’s attention.
- FCC’s 1-1 Consent Rule for robocalling/texting should be removed, since this rule disproportionately impacts small businesses that rely on lead generation.
- Small businesses want the number of forms they file with the FCC to be reduced and streamlined for more efficiency.
- Current FCC small entity compliance guidance is not sufficient for small businesses.
- The FCC should continue to increase spectrum allocation to help invigorate small businesses.
- Advocacy submitted a list of 47 additional rules that small businesses brought to Advocacy’s attention.
