What: On April 3, 2025, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) published a Request for Information (RFI) in the Federal Register seeking information on regulatory review and reform pursuant to Executive Orders 14219 and 14192.
Why: DOT seeks comments on existing regulations, guidance, paperwork requirements, and other regulatory obligations that can be modified or repealed, consistent with law. DOT seeks to ensure that its administrative actions do not undermine the national interest, and it achieves meaningful burden reduction while continuing to meet statutory obligations and ensure the safety of the U.S. transportation system.
