EPA National Drinking Water Advisory Committee Meeting to Discuss Perchlorate Rules

What: On December 4, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that the National Drinking Water Advisory Council (NDWAC) will meet on January 9, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 4:15 PM ET. The purpose of the meeting is for the EPA to consult with the NDWAC on a proposed regulation for perchlorate in drinking water. The meeting will be virtual.

Registration information and an agenda will be posted on the NDWAC website prior to the meeting.

Attendees interested in presenting oral statements of up to three minutes or written statements should contact Tracey Ward at ward.tracey@epa.gov by January 2, 2025.

Previously, on October 3, 2024, the EPA announced it was considering a potential Small Business Advocacy Review Panel to seek the input of small public water systems on developing perchlorate regulation.
