What: On November 8, 2024, the Agricultural Marketing Service published a referendum order (“order”) for eligible almond growers to determine whether growers favor continuance of the marketing order that regulates the handling of almonds in California.
The referendum will be conducted from December 4 – 20, 2024. Only current growers who have grown almonds in California from August 1, 2023, through July 31, 2024, are eligible to vote in this referendum.
Ballots and voting instructions will be sent by U.S. Postal Service, or through electronic mail to all growers of record. Ballots may also be obtained from the referendum agents listed in the order, or from their appointees.
Ballots due: Must be returned no later than 11:59 PM ET on December 20, 2024
