EPA Announces Public Engagement Webinars for Pre-Prioritization of Existing Chemicals for Future Prioritization Under the Toxic Substances Control Act
On August 28, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced two virtual public meetings to provide information regarding existing chemical pre-prioritization and prioritization activities under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Prioritization is the first step in the process of evaluating existing chemicals under TSCA and implementing regulations. In these webinars, EPA will explain the prioritization process and provide an overview of the candidate chemical substances currently being considered for future prioritization actions.
The webinars will take place Monday, September 30, 2024, from 2 PM- 4 PM ET and Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 PM ET.
Members of the public must register by September 25, 2024, to receive the link to participate and to make oral comments during the meeting. Following the webinar, written comments will be accepted until October 31, 2024.
