On December 15, 2023, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a notice in the Federal Register requesting comments on the 2023 Draft Risk Evaluation for Tris(2-chloroethyl) Phosphate (TCEP).
TCEP has been primarily used in paint and coating manufacturing, and polymers used in aerospace equipment and products. In the past, it has also been used in commercial and consumer products, including fabric and textile products, foam seating, and construction materials.
EPA will also hold a virtual public meeting to discuss the Draft TCEP Risk Evaluation on March 5, 2024, from 1 PM – 4 PM ET. The deadline for registration is March 1, 2024, and instructions on registering will be published by EPA later.
Comments on the Draft Risk Evaluation are due by February 13, 2024.
