DOE Seeks Information on Whether to Amend Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer Refrigerators and Freezers

On November 15, 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (DOE) issued a request for information to determine whether to amend the current energy conservation standards for consumer refrigerators, refrigerator-freezers and freezers. In the request, the Agency seeks comments specifically on identifying small businesses in the industry and feedback on approaches that could be used to address the impact on small businesses. Comments are due by December 30, 2019.
