On March 28, 2018, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service (RUS) announced that it will begin accepting applications for the FY 2018 Rural Broadband Access Loans and Loan Guarantees Program to provide assistance to applicants in financing improved broadband service in rural areas. RUS states that the use of application windows has not effectively supported this mission, and therefore the Agency will now process applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be accepted through September 30, 2018.
