DOE Requests Information Related to the Department’s Equity Action Plan Update
On June 25, 2024, the Department of Energy (DOE) published a Request for Information (RFI) soliciting feedback on its Equity Action Plan Update.
DOE is requesting public comment to learn about what further work they can do to help underserved/underrepresented groups, including communities of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ people, religious minorities, people living in rural areas, and people living in poverty.
The responses to this RFI will help DOE understand potential barriers that underserved communities may face in accessing and benefitting from the agency’s policies, programs, and activities, including procurement, contracting, and grant opportunities, identify inequities that were not addressed in the 2022 Equity Action Plan or the 2023 Equity Action Plan Update, and inform what equity-related activities and performance metrics they should prioritize in the 2024 update to DOE’s Equity Action Plan.
Comments are being collected both electronically and written and are due by 11:59 PM ET on August 9, 2024.
- Read the RFI and review information on how to submit comments.
