Army Corps Seeks Comments on Implementation of Credit Assistance Program for Dams

On June 10, 2022, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Army Corps) published a notice of proposed rulemaking that would implement a new credit assistance program for safety projects to maintain, upgrade, and repair dams owned by states, local governments, public utilities, or private utilities. Army Corps has identified 684 dams owned or operated by small entities and is seeking input from stakeholders on the implementation processes of this new credit assistance program, including the application process, fees related to the program, and the selection criteria.
