EPA and the Corps of Engineers Request Proposed Groups for Geographic Roundtables to Discuss Definition of the Waters of the United States (WOTUS)

On October 25, 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) provided notice the agencies are requesting proposed groups for Geographic Roundtables with EPA and the Corps to discuss the definition of “the waters of the United States” (WOTUS) under the Clean Water Act. The organizer of each proposed group must identify its members, their contact information, and their affiliation. In addition, the organizer must identify the geographic region and perspectives represented by the proposed group. Only fifteen individual participants can be included in each proposed group. EPA and the Corps will select one proposed group for each of the Geographic Roundtables. Proposed group submissions to participate in the Geographic Roundtables are due November 3, 2021.
