USDA Reopens Comment Period on Proposed Rule to Amend Lamb Promotion, Research, and Information Order

On May 7, 2021 the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), published a notice reopening the comment period on a proposed rule to amend the current Lamb Promotion, Research, and Information Order. AMS states that it received comments requesting additional time to analyze a volume threshold that would allow for flexibilities for very-small, low-volume market agencies. AMS states that the proposed rule will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. Written comments are due by July 6, 2021.
