Advocacy Appoints Thomas J. Rossomando to Serve as Advocate for Manufacturing and Technology
“Small manufacturing and technology firms have a strong advocate in Tom Rossomando,” said Acting Chief Counsel Major L. Clark, III. “His previous experience has prepared him well for his new role, and we are happy to welcome him to the Advocacy team.”
“It’s truly a privilege and honor to serve this unique office and support its critical mission to advocate for small business,” said Rossomando. “I look forward to being a strong advocate on behalf of the American economic engine driven by our nation’s small manufacturers and technology firms.”
Rossomando comes to Advocacy with an extensive background in business development. Previously, he served as a business development specialist for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In this role, he helped various businesses, a majority of which were small, move their operations to Pennsylvania, increasing the state’s business diversity and workforce. Rossomando will be located in SBA’s King of Prussia Office in Pennsylvania.
The Office of Advocacy has regional advocates in each of the 10 federal regions, plus a national rural affairs advocate, and a manufacturing and technology advocate. This team identifies new issues and concerns of small business owners. They work closely with local government officials, state officials and legislators, and the Chief Counsel for Advocacy to develop programs and policies that support small business growth.
