NPS Seeks Comments on Proposed Rule to Revise Concessions Contracts Regulations for Commercial Visitor Services

On July 20, 2020 the U.S. Department of the Interior’s National Park Service (NPS) published a proposal to revise regulations governing the administration of concessions contracts for commercial visitor services. NPS proposes to make several changes. Four major changes include establishing a mechanism for obtaining feedback and requesting prospectuses for new concessions opportunities, updating the timing for issuing prospectuses, procedures for publishing notice of a prospectus, and outlining the weighting factors in assessing the merits of a prospectus. Written comments are due by September 18, 2020.
