Advocacy Holds Small Business Forum in Cobb County, Georgia

By Bruce LeVell, Region 4 Advocate

The month of May has been very encouraging for me as a Regional Advocate, as I’ve seen business leaders make the best out of their success by mentoring rising leaders. On May 7, 2019, I met with various members of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce in Cobb County, Ga. The discussion centered around the Dodd-Frank Act’s hindering of sensible state and local regulation of lending, which has the potential to benefit small business owners in all industries.

These types of forums allow the small business community to have a voice, and provide entrepreneurs with advice and support on how to navigate regulatory burdens and secure access to capital. I’d like to give a special thanks to Cobb County COO Sharon Settle Mason, who helped us fill almost every seat in the room.
